Krsnacandra Dasa – Vrndavan: One of the favourite sayings of FISKCON mismanagement is “It is better a blind uncle than no uncle”. It must be noted that even though Srila Prabhupada used this Bengali proverb, he only used it on a few occasions.

Prabhupada: Kana mama [blind uncle]. Without mama, better a blind mama. That’s all. That is our policy. So to remain without mama is not very good choice. Must have a mama. Never mind he is blind. That is our policy.

The concept of a blind mama, uncle, infers that one should be grateful for having an uncle at all, so a blind uncle is better than no uncle, however, it also infers; better having someone doing the job even though they may have some problem, than not having the job done at all. The latter is the context that Srila Prabhupada used this ‘proverb’.

However, this does not infer that wrong doings or criminality of management can be written off as ‘better a blind uncle than no uncle’. Nor does it infer that we must overlook any wrongdoings born of improper intent of an ambitious career orientated devotee or for someone who believes that they know better than Srila Prabhupada. What to speak of any person who masquerades as a devotee but whose intention is to infiltrate our Society for some other agenda.

A criminal, according to karma and criminal law cannot and should not escape apprehension and subsequent punishment. So to apply the term of a ‘blind uncle is better than no uncle’ in support of a criminal or criminal activity must never be condoned or supported within our Vaisnava Society.

“It is a well known fact that we must act according to law, or we will be punished. If one commits criminal activities, the state will punish him. Sometimes, however, a criminal may escape punishment by the state, but this is not the case with God’s law. One can cheat others, commit theft and hide, thereby saving himself from the punishment of the state, but one cannot save himself from the superior law, the law of nature.” The Matchless Gift – Getting out of Material Mire.

A criminal is not simply a person who commits a ‘Law of the Land’ crime.

Adjective: Criminal

1.            Criminal – bringing or deserving severe rebuke or censure

condemnable, reprehensible, vicious, deplorable

wrong – contrary to conscience or morality or law; “it is wrong for the rich to take advantage of the poor”; “cheating is wrong”; “it is wrong to lie”

2.            Criminal – guilty of crime or serious offense; “criminal in the sight of God and man”

guilty – responsible for or chargeable with a reprehensible act; “guilty of murder”; “the guilty person”; “secret guilty deeds”

3.            Criminal – involving or being or having the nature of a crime; “a criminal offense”; “criminal abuse”; “felonious intent”

Law of the Land crimes include – white collar crimes of; embezzlement or misappropriation of donations / land racketeering / visa scams / local council violations / under the table salaries / tax evasion etc and may be condoned as ‘necessary’ for a charitable organization to effectively function however they are still criminal offenses punishable by law and karma.

Srila Prabhupada was not a criminal nor was he someone who condoned the breaking of any laws. He wanted that we be upright righteous citizens. We need to ask the question whether or not we have become a criminal culture rather than a Vaisnava culture.

Srila Prabhupada made it very clear in his will “failure to act for any reason” which is a legal term that means a failure to act in accordance with the rules or standards set down by Srila Prabhupada. This is not a frivolous term Srila Prabhupada used. It is very clear and definitive. So how come we are allowing so much criminal activity to be swept under the carpet and letting the criminals in the GBC and Rubber Stamped gurus get away with even murder and still so many fools worship them like they are Godly?

How many of our leaders are heterosexual and homosexual sexual predators? How many are committing white collar crimes? How many of them are committing sastric crimes? How many are guilty of being ambitious career devotees? How many of them are committing Guru aparadha by appointing themselves as initiating guru’s when Srila Prabhupada did not allow them to do so?

How many devotees have either been a victim / witnessed or have knowledge of crimes committed by FISKCON leadership and have not said a word or reported it to the police? How many parents, teachers and devotional community members have not reported child abuse, even of their own child in gurukuls and other ISKCON centres, to the police?

How many devotees have refused to listen to the pleas of our children who were begging to be believed when they cried out for help after being sexually assaulted or beaten in our Gurukuls or even in our very own family homes by abusive parents?

In most civilized countries beating your child even for perceived disciplinary measures is illegal and could get you charged and imprisoned by the police. How many parents think that it is okay to slap, hit with something or punch their children to discipline them??

I know many Russian families living in Vrndavan Dham who believe that to love and show affection to their children means that they are in maya. That Srila Prabhupada said it was okay to beat their children. Parents who leave their children (girls as young as 6)) unsupervised for days on end when they go travelling and believe that it is okay to do so. That these children are “safe” because they are in the Holy Dham…

I mean how stupid are these people? Their demoniac fake gurus don’t have the time nor do they possess the maturity to properly train their ill-gotten disciples and refuse to allow Srila Prabhupada to train them. Over the last 33 years they have proven to be selfish and self centric in their careers as either GBC or Rubber Stamped Gurus. The result of this is the acculturation of a criminal value system into ISKCON corrupting it into FISKCON.

However, all the blame cannot be levelled at them. The so called followers of these demons are also to blame for believing that these idiots actually represent Srila Prabhupada and Krsna. Fool me once then I can be excused but fool me twice then shame on me!

How many friends and family members have witnessed children of devotees who have been sexually and physically abused (beating) and have not reported the abuse to the police? How much child abuse is going on in our Vaisnava society that is not being dealt with properly? How many women and men have been sexually molested by ISKCON gurus and not reported it to the police?

How many have witnessed or been part of donations that have been misappropriated and have not reported this to the police? The list can go on and on yet this is happening in ISKCON. What is this mentality if not the mentality of a criminal or a member of a community of criminals? It is only criminals and people who live in fear who do not report crimes to the proper authorities.

How many of us believe that just because we are in ISKCON we should never report a crime? How many of us believe that Srila Prabhupada and Krsna would be happy and pleased with us if we did not report a crime to the police? How many believe that a leader in ISKCON no matter if they are a TP / GBC / Rubber Stamped Guru / Sanyasi or senior devotee should never be reported to the police for engaging in a criminal act?

How many believe that sexual fall down of a Rubber Stamped Guru or Sanyasi is okay and would be allowed or tolerated by Srila Prabhupada and Krsna just because it has been tolerated by the ISKCON leadership? How can we call ourselves a healthy Vaisnava society? The leaders, the GBC, the bogus Rubber Stamped Gurus don’t give a damn about you. All it takes is devotees in a community to begin reporting to the police any criminal activity and see how these demons in disguise of devotees will cringe and cower.

Know that the blind uncle routine used by FISKCON is a red herring meant to dumb you down and make you just as guilty as they are. Yes we stand accused of the crime of ‘knowingly allow’. To knowingly allow a criminal act to go unreported is a criminal offence as well…

So this acceptance of an evil blind uncle is certainly not what Srila Prabhupada desired nor is it the standard that we should tolerate. After all we know who else had a blind uncle!

The Pandavas had a blind uncle and see what that did.

Sure it is fine to have a blind uncle who is intelligent, of good character, kind, generous and lovable but look at the GBC, the bogus Rubber Stamped Gurus and most of the devotees who make up middle management in FISKCON. How much crime have they had to be involved in and overlooked in order to get their positions?

These are the blind uncles from hell!

So next time a GBC or bogus Rubber Stamped Guru or TP tells you to accept a blind uncle… Tell them to GO TO HELL!

Yours in the service of Srila Prabhupada
